General information
The UK left the EU on February 1, 2020, and EU law applied to aviation safety in the UK until December 31, 2020. From January 1, 2021, the UK was treated as a third country and lost its status as an EASA member state.
The trade agreement between the EU and the UK from January 1, 2021, covers only certain aspects of aviation safety cooperation.
EASA approved some organizations in the UK until December 31, 2020. Design and production organizations are subject to special provisions from the trade agreement.
