Lake Traunsee is a picturesque lake in Upper Austria, Austria, and is considered one of the deepest lakes in the country. It is located near the town of Gmunden and is surrounded by impressive mountains, including the Traunstein, which is a popular hiking and climbing destination.
The lake has an area of around 24 square kilometers and a maximum depth of around 191 meters. Its water quality is excellent, making it a popular destination for swimmers, sailors and other water sports enthusiasts. The area surrounding Lake Traun offers numerous leisure activities, including cycling, hiking and boat trips.
